“How to have a big event with few resources”, is the goal of any bride, non-profit manager or special occasion host.  The Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Small Business Administration is offering a half day workshop and lunch on April 17th at the Greenbrier County Public Library.  Registration begins at 9 am and the workshop culminates at noon with lunch.

Kim Donahue, Economic Development Specialist with the Small Business Administration will be presenting the program.  “Kim Donahue is a Chamber favorite.  Her wit and wealth of knowledge makes for an enjoyable session filled with tips and pointers to have a successful event of any sort.” asserts Katie C. Ickes, Chamber Director.  Topics to be covered include: planning and setting a timeline, marketing and social media, designing invitations and getting your message out, as well as what to do if something goes wrong.

Sam’s Club of Beckley will be providing delicious to-go lunches for those with little time.  For others, lunchtime can provide an opportunity to network and share resources for special events.  The fee for the workshop is $15 for Chamber members and $30 for non-members.  Please follow this link: to register for our Special Event Planning Workshop.
