Chamber to Host Candidates’ Forums on October 2 and 9

The time to cast your vote is approaching and the Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce is hosting three forums on two Tuesday evenings, October 2 and 9 at the Underwood Center at the State Fair Event Center to help you decide.  The Sheriff Candidate’s forum will be presented at 5:30 on October 2 for an hour and then the County Commission Candidate’s Forum will follow.  On October 9, Candidates’ for the House of Delegates will be featured at 5:30 pm.  Frontier Communications is sponsoring production of the events and the public is invited.

October 4, 2012 Edit:

A debate between Ryan Keesee and incumbent Prosecutor Patrick Via will be added to follow the House of Delegates Forum of the Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce on October 9th.   The House of Delegates Forum will begin at 5:30 at the Underwood Building of the State Fair Event Center.

Mike Kidd of Radio Greenbrier will be the moderator for the events and the forums will be broadcast on Radio Greenbrier.  Sharp Video Productions will be telecasting the forums on the local cable access channel.  The moderator will be presenting questions to the candidates that can be submitted at the event or emailed to  The candidates invited to attend include   Jan Cahill and Jim Childers; Woody Hanna and Sherman T. McClung for October 2.  On October 9, those invited to attend include George Ambler, Ray Canterbury Steve Hunter, and Glenn Singer.

Moderator Mike Kidd of Radio Greenbrier will preside over three forums on October 2 and 9th at The State Fair Event Center. The Democratic Sheriff’s Forum from the Spring is pictured with Moderator Mike Kidd, Steve Malcomb and Jan Cahill.
